DAP The Contract is a one-of-a-kind artist born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria but residing in New York City. DAP The Contract is a do-it-all rapper/singer whom got his first debut after being selected for Converse Rubber Tracks and recording at thee Abbey Road Studios in London with “Uptown Funk” producer Mark Ronson.
Since then, DAP has gone on to prove his place in music through releasing his EP “Two Roads,” producing for Nigerian artist Odunsi’s project ‘Rare,’ opening for Skepta and Burna Boy at the Nativeland Festival in Nigeria, and still multitasking life as a law student at Columbia University. DAP The Contract’s latest visual for single “Hell Yeah” which was created and directed by him, shows multiple versions of DAP in which all are ultimately portraying a persona of his.
“Hell Yeah” expresses how DAP overcomes the obstacles trying to stop him from his dreams. In a way, DAP The Contract visually says that he doesn’t care which aspect of his life he is in, he will be okay with being exactly who he is and will always prevail. Unapologetically.
